The annual club dinner and awards ceremony as held on the 9th of Feb, 2008, at the Mountain Gate in Ammanford. Guest speakers Nicky Grist, Phill Collins and Cliff Mainwaring.

The club dinner was a massive sucsess, with over 100 guests - it was a brilliant evening. Many thanks to Geraint and co-hosts, Amanda, Dean, and Richard, without contricbutions from these the dinner would not have gone ahead.

The charity auction raised in excess of £2500, and all three guests joined in, raising money for Blaenau Childrens Centre near Ammanford, and Whitemill special needs unit in Carmarthen.

Volunteers in Motorsport can help you get involved as a marshal, timekeeper, technical official or in many other roles. The perfect way to get close and really enjoy the sport and a disability doesn't necessarily stop you being involved.

We will be having our agm soon - at present the majority of the 2005/06 board have stepped down. And without them we could not hold an agm!

As some of you will have no doubt heard, we as a club have faced some issues with various aspects of the club over the recent months, and with an AGM we hope to be able to put all of that behind us and move on to a more productive future.

Remember, none of our events can happen without your help, so please get your brains in gear and your suits on!

The next club meeting is scheduled for Jan 9th 2007. We have lots of new and exciting things planned for 2007 (including but not limited to, a new website, new events and a new comitee) - so be sure to turn up if you can.

Thanks to everybody who helped out on the WRC WRGB this year - your efforts made sure that the stage (and indeed the rally) ran very well, and smooth as silk. Thanks!

If you would like to join and represent a well established and highly thought of club you are more than welcome. You can attend and contribute to our meetings attend karting events and nights out. We also have an internal club championship which finishes with a Club Awards Dinner and gives the chance to add another trophy to the collection.

The club is there for the enthusiast beginner and the seasoned veteran. Youll be greeted with a friendly welcome and all the advice you want is there from people who compete in many forms of motorsport.

We now allow our club members to compete in their home events held by the club.

There is the open opportunity to get involved in organising events such as road rallies.

It doesnt matter how old or young you are or what level youre at what matters is youre a member who contributes to this Club.

If thats you then please contact Dean or anyone from the contact info about meeting dates and any info you need.

This years Mel Harries Memorial Rally has been cancelled. After our successes with the Darran Beynon Memorial Rally group energy is low and we therefore refuse to put on anything other than a first class event. Hopefully things will change for 2007 but at the moment all we can reveal is that this years MH Memorial is a no go.

We apologise to all of those of you who wished to compete and are sure that you agree that anything less than perfection for such a high profile event would not be acceptable.

Hi all if you have won a trophy and were too tired to stay around until the end then you will be able to collect your trophy from our club meetings that are due to be held on the 11th 25th of July. After this time we are going to recycle them into fancy looking tyre stoppers.

The entry system for the DB memorial rally is now offline. If you have not already sent in your payment you MUST DO SO BY THE 3rd of July else your check will be returned. More updates coming shortly.

Hi Everyone for those of you who have not yet put an entry into the rally you have unitl the 30th June to submit your entries. For those of you who have already put in an entry you pritty certain to have a run as long as you are eligible for the rally after screening has taken place.

Its going to be a great event again and we are looking forward to seeing you all again.

The Regulations for the forthcoming Darran Beynon Memorial Rally have been published and can be downloaded by following the Regulations link on the left hand side of this page.

More details to follow shortly.

From this rally onwards you will have to fill an online entry form. On submitting this you will be given a unique reference number that you must keep for your own reference. This reference number must be written on the back of your cheque along with your name address and telephone number. You only send us your cheque as we already have your entry form. We will be holding a draw for the entries where you are more than welcome to attend and see if your luck is in. Please make sure you only enter a class you are eligible for. We will be checking events and classes you have entered.

Hi everyone we would like to state that the Darran Beynon will be taking place in the early part of the Summer this year. We have essentially taken the slot of the Mel Harries road rally that will take place later in the year.

We shall once again be keeping you up to date via the web site. The rally information such as regs etc will require downloading from this web site. We will be holding an entry draw for the rally as it is a fair way for everyone.

If you have any queries then please do not hesitate to contact Simon or Geraint who are the Clerks of the Course via the contact info on this site.

Here at Ammanford Motor Club we have meetings every other Tuesday in Penybanc Rugby Club. It is a warm and welcoming atmosphere and new members benefit from a wealth of experience in many different forms of motor sport. There are people who compete at all levels of competition and they all have lots of advise to people just starting out or looking to improve. You may have alot of experience to teach other members. We have a meeting to discuss club issues and upcoming events and if anyone needs help and then you can sit back and relax with friends and have a chat about anything. Why not come along to a meeting and see for yourself

As the new rallying season has already dawned on us plans are already in place for our second annual novice rally... As last years rally was held in atrocious weather conditions it will now be held around June or July time.

We look forward to this year even more as chairman of the motorclub and now joint clerk of the course Geraint, as well as Simon and the team will do our best to ensure the rallies up to our usual high standards.

Our annual celebration has been booked for February 11 2006. We are at the Poachers Rest again this year as it was so good last year.

FORMAL CLOTHES ONLY and this time we will have some bouncers on the door to make sure you all tuck your shirts in jeans are banned too!!

The Club Championship awards for 2005 will be once again dealt with by a new Mystery Guest somebody once again who is a World Class Rally Veteran.

The Maps from last year will help you get to the venue see the documents section and we have some new ones with more detail on the way.

Kick off will be 6pm ish and we will be having a disco and a famous singer in the house to make sure it is non stop action all night.

Tickets are available from the Club Meetings at a modest price so get one of the boys to pick some up for you if your not at the meeting on Tuesday.
