Q 0.1. I have just come back from XYZ Rally. I have a spare 5 minutes to write up my thoughts on the event, is this any use?
A 0.1. YES! Send it in.
Q 0.2. How do I submit a story/report then?
A 0.2. Either pop it in an email, or use the online contact form simply pasting it into the 'message body' field.
Q 0.9. How can one website have so many spelling mistakes?
A 0.9. Who cares! It is difficult to get everything right at 2am...
Classifieds Q/A
Q 1.1. I wish to sell an item in your classifieds, and donate the proceeds to one of your nominated charities, how do I go about this?
A 1.1. Use common sense.
Q 1.2. When I add a new classifieds advert, the form keeps being displayed with an error... I am not doing anything wrong, why is this?
A 1.2. The online-classifieds system is presently having it's backend re-worked (see dev.ammanfordmotorclub.com), and the best advice I can provide is;
(a) Use ONLY alphanumeric characters (no crazy characters !!*("(*&(,;.#/.[/,[]*&"*(&" (or such nonsense)
(b) If you have a problem, email the advert through to the webmaster who will submit the advert in your name, and resolve whatever issue there is with the program itself (so it will not happen in future).
Mailing Lists Q/A
Q 2.1. I joined the mailing list, but have yet to recieve any messages, why?
A 2.1. If you signed up (and you should), you will only get emails sent when there is any information to send on the subject, and it is not possible to say (in advance) when this will occur.
Q 2.2. I joined the mailing list, and want to un-subscribe how do I go about this?
A 2.2. With every email sent out from the mailing list, there is an un-subscribe link, if you click on this link, then we will remove you from our database.
Q 2.3. I joined the mailing list, and want to email everybody, how can I do this ?
A 2.3. You can't. The mailing list is private, and only the website administrator can send out messages to the group, if you want to discuss this with me, then give me a call / email. There will be forums for questions et-al. setup closer to the time of the events, and in these public forums you will be able to air your views/opinions and ask questions.
Members Section Q/A
Q 3.1. I am a fully paid up club member, and I want to have a page within the members section of the site, how do I go about this?
A 3.1. Easy, write a little about yourself and your activities in an email and send it to the webmaster, include any photographs you have, and it will be included in the site at our nearest convienience. If you do not have email, simply bring in some photographs and a little write-up to any of the club meetings, and the webmaster will be happy to take care of it all.
Q 3.2. I have some changes I wish to make on my page in the members section of the site, how do I effect these changes?
A 3.2. Easy, describe the modifications and include any relevant detail, in an email to the webmaster.
Q 4.0. I have a question which is not mentioned on this list?
A 4.1. Email the
webmaster.
